OUR STORY

In 2003, father Larry Bauman and son, Kerrick, saw a need to create Onions Direct as a means to sell onions year round. They hired Dan Commins to serve as Sales Manager. Dan moved from Michigan, where he previously sold onions for DeBruyn Produce. He moved to Kennewick, Washington, where the Onions Direct sales office is located. A few years later an additional sales staff (Carl Frank) and office staff (Nancy Fitts) was added to our team. 

As quoted in Onion World Magazine (November, 2008), "One of the trademarks of Onions Direct is that we keep our word and keep it simple", Larry declares. "If the price is high and you have them contracted, you are going to receive them for the contracted price. We've made it a practice not to get caught up in making excuses. The people that we do business with know that we keep our word."
